On Thursday, May 21, Denfeld High School hosted its 101st Annual Honors Night, a century-strong tradition celebrating academic excellence and student achievement. The Class of 2026 scholarship recipients were presented with scholarship awards, recognizing their hard work, dedication, and the bright futures that lie ahead.
The celebration continued with the Scholars Reception on Thursday, May 28. The reception began in 2018 with a seed planted by GDF board member Jerry Zanko. As he completes his final term on the board this June, it has been inspiring to watch that seed blossom into a wonderful annual celebration, bringing together scholarship recipients, donors, families, friends, administrators, board members and supporters each year.

This year, the Greater Denfeld Foundation awarded 21 non-renewable and 51 renewable scholarships totaling $668,000. Since its founding in 1971, the Greater Denfeld Foundation has awarded over $9 million in scholarships to Denfeld High School students, an incredible milestone made possible by the continued generosity of our donors.

It was a wonderful celebration of the Denfeld Class of 2026 scholarship recipients, joined by donors, families, friends, supporters, and Greater Denfeld Foundation Board members. Each recipient shared the scholarship they received and their plans for college and beyond. It was a joy to witness the promising futures ahead for these graduates with the support of these scholarships.
